He broke onto the international stage with his 2015 debut album Shimuzic, followed by releases such as One Man Showand Eminence, further solidifying his place in the global house landscape. His sound blends afro house and afro-tech elements, driven by deep grooves, rich percussion, and emotionally charged vocals.
Beyond production, Shimza is also a key community builder. His long-running One Man Show event series, launched in 2009, carries a strong charitable mission and has grown into one of South Africa’s most iconic music events. In 2020, he founded Kunye Records, a platform dedicated to showcasing and supporting the next generation of African electronic artists.
